The Greenhouse Cafe

The Greenhouse Cafe. Japanese Izakaya-style food combined with Australian Pub Cuisine.

The Greenhouse Cafe is open in the winter season only and serves a variety of dishes from both Japan and Australia. It is open from 5pm till 9pm every night from season open till the middle of March.

The Greenhouse Cafe and Bar is the place for food and drinks in Madarao. We have Japanese and Western cuisine, espresso coffee, cold beer, cocktails, local sake and Australian wines. It is a great place to kick back after a big day on the mountain.

As a family owned restaurant we like to keep it relaxed and comfortable for both our in-house guests and customers coming in from other accommodation venues. Whether you are dropping in for après ski drinks, having dinner with the family or even for group events, you can always expect delicious food and great music. You can check out ski movies or live concerts on the big screen TV or even have a game of darts with friends. There are also plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free meal options available, as well as take-away for people who want a lazy night in their lodge.

Mayuko is a trained sushi chef and has worked in Japanese restaurants both in Japan and Australia as well as running her own catering company in the Byron Bay area of Australia. She also has experience with Chinese and Italian cuisine, so that she can cover a lot of different styles. Ingredients are sourced locally and delivered fresh daily.

We look forward to seeing you there.
